Background

Travel, Culture and Japan

I’m a Tokyo-based travel and culture writer with a love for rural regeneration projects, unusual festivals and unique personal stories. I create (largely) Japan-focused content ranging from practical guides to in-depth features.

Living in Japan for six years has given me some amazing opportunities to explore and learn about the culture and traditions that make Japan unique. Paired with a deep understanding of what visitors seek out on their travels, I can craft inspiring and informative pieces in a range of styles.

While I’m by no means a photographer, I enjoy taking photos to accompany my articles and am learning as I go.

I cover a range of topics and styles, (almost) always with a focus on Japanese culture, community and trends.
